I DON'T know about you but it already seems like the Arsenal match was a long time ago, and it will seem even longer when we finally play again on Monday night.

Having had two great results on the bounce I know that everyone will be making us firm favourites to beat Leicester City at Ewood park but there is no room for complacency.

You get the same number of points for a win against the teams that are struggling as for those near the top and so it is a very important game for us.

And this season there have already been some very strange results in the league. On a normal weekend our 3-3 draw at Highbury would have been big news but then Bolton go and do the impossible - come from behind to win at Old Trafford.

Remember this is a team that has lost at home to Southampton and yet is now unbeaten after trips to Leeds, Arsenal and Man U. That proves that you can't afford to take anything for granted.

Just a quick final word on the Arsenal game and what a thrill it was to come up against players of the quality of Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira.

They really are something else and in a way you even look up to them when you're playing against them, this is why we were all desperate to get into the Premier League so we could take on some of the best in the world.

When they do some of things they do you find yourself saying "that's unbelievable".

That is not to say we were frightened or intimidated by them but you have got to respect the fact they are world class players.

And sometimes, when you face players of that ability, you can't do anything to stop them.

I am still disappointed by my part in their third goal but at least I got the equaliser to get what I thought was a very deserved point.

Now we have to turn our attention to Monday's match and we will be working hard over the weekend to make sure we are prepared for Dave Bassett's men.

They have got a couple of ex-Rovers in their side and it will be nice to meet up with Tim Flowers and Callum Davidson, although we won't be doing them any favours out on the pitch.

Leicester could not have had a much worse start to the season and the board there decided to get rid of Peter Taylor who did such a good job with the England Under-21s.

Now it is up to Dave Bassett to get them out of the hole they are in but our job is to make it a bit deeper.

This weekend you will all get the chance to come down and see how we prepare for matches because we will be holding a training session at Ewood Park as part of the club's Open Weekend.

This is a good chance for the fans to see what goes on on the training ground and see some of the hard work that we put in.

There will also be the chance to have a lot of fun and grab a few autographs into the bargain.

I just hope it is a great weekend that is followed up by an even better start to the week with another three points as we continue our solid start to the season.
