BURY boss Andy Preece is being linked with the vacant manager's job at Stockport County.
Preece admitted he was flattered by County's interest saying: "It is probably because I am a former player but of course it is flattering to be mentioned."
Stockport sacked Andy Kilner earlier this week after a string of bad results and are hunting for a replacement. As well as Preece, other candidates include Brian Flynn at Wrexham and County captain Mike Flynn.
Stockport lost 2-0 at home to Walsall last night and are already adrift at the foot of the first division.
