CLARETS reserves return to action at Sheffield United tonight, hoping to continue their fine early season form.

Unbeaten since Ronnie Jepson took over five games ago, the manager expects to be able to name a more experienced side than the one that beat Birmingham City a week ago.

The late return from Gillingham the same morning as that match meant Jepson relied heavily on players from Terry Pashley's youth squad -- not that Jepson will be worried if he has to do the same thing again.

"I just want the players, whoever is in the side, to carry on what we have been doing," he said. "It has not mattered whether I have had experienced players or kids in the side, they have all done well for me."

Jepson is expecting another big game because it is against a side from the other side of the Pennines and they will be out for a small measure of revenge after the first team was beaten at Turf Moor.

Dimitri Papadopoulos is away on international duty but Graham Branch is set to have another outing after completing his first 90 minutes of the season against Birmingham.

Alan Moore is still some way short of full fitness following his recent hernia operation so is unlikely to feature, but youngsters Earl Davis, Joel Pilkington, Andrew Waine and Andrew Leeson are all likely to be involved in some capacity.
