BRETT Ormerod hit back with two late goals to earn Blackpool a draw against Stoke City, and loan signing from Bolton Ian Marshall made his debut in an exciting night at Bloomfield Road.

Stoke rode their luck and then shocked the Seasiders in the second half with two goals in two minutes from Iwelumo.

The first, a looping header, gave goalkeeper James Pullen no chance.

A minute later, with the home defence still reeling, Iwelumo showed his skills on the ground scoring from 12-yards out.

Blackpool were stung into action and Ormerod swiftly revealed why his tally has now reached 18 for the season.

Ian Marshall made his debut just hours after joining the Seasiders on a month's loan, answering a call from Pool boss Steve McMahon.

His first goal came in the 72nd minute when he pounced during a goal-mouth scramble.

And four minutes later a good Blackpool build-up ended with Ormerod scoring clinically with an angled drive.

The home side piled on the pressure and Richard Wellens was unlucky late on with a chip that bounced clear off the angle of post and bar.

Marshall, after starting up front, showed his famous versatility by being switched to centre-back, and the popular Bolton player is looking forward to his month on the coast.

"The phone call came because Blackpool have a shortage of centre-forwards," Marshall said after the game.

"I'm here for a month and I haven't looked beyond that.

"It's good to get first team football again."
