MORECAMBE'S string of away games continues on Saturday, when they make the long trip to face high-flying Farnborough.

The Shrimps will be hoping that a two week break since their last game will stand them in god stead as they look to return to the form which saw them close to the top of the table just a couple of months ago.

Morecambe have been boosted by the news that two of their players, Stewart Drummond and Robbie Talbot, will play for the FA XI in their annual clash against the Unibond Leage.

Lancaster City, meanwhile, face Runcorn for the second time this season in a return fixture at Giant Axe.

The Blues won at the Merseyside club's new Halton stadium at Widness earlier in the season, and will be hoping to keep the pressure on Burton Albion at the top of the table.

City, along with Burton and FA Cup opponents Altrincham are beginning to extend their lead at the top of the table, with other sides, such as Gateshead and Saturday's defeated opponents Worksop slipping back.

Blackburn Rovers' much heralded reserve match at Christie Park on Tuesday night ended with a convincing 4-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.

Former Morecambe record signing Steve Walters is on the move again after being transfer listed by his new club, Stevenage, just a few months after joining them.

Morecambe are inviting local firms to become corporate business supporters of the club. For a payment of just £21.66 a month, companies will be entered into a weekly draw with a chance of winning more than 400 weekly prizes, including four Vauxhall cars each year, and cash prizes of up to £5,000. Companies also receive four tickets to watch the club in conference action and a mention in every match day programmes at Christie Park.
