WILL the real Sven Goran Eriksson stand up?

England soccer supremo Sven the Swede came face-to-face with his supersub, Journal photographer Colin Lyne and declared it a draw.

Sven, currently the hottest gossip property in the media world, didn't exactly shout "Ulrika" when he met our Colin in the flesh for the first time but he was bowled over by his lookalike's remarkable resemblance to himself when the duo teamed-up for a food ad shoot-out.

"Where did you get your glasses from?" was Sven's ice-breaking question to Colin after the duo shook hands and exchanged initial greetings.

"Vision Express," replied Colin, "where did you get yours from?"

Sven told him his first pair came from Italy but subsequent pairs came from the same source as Colin's.

Colin, never one to shy away from a mirror, was made-up when a cameraman filming the advert in Fulham told him "you've got better skin texture for the camera lighting than Sven".

Colin was Sven's stand-in during filming for the commercial which will be screened to millions on prime time television.

And Colin was as thrilled as Sven at their meeting during which the two discussed just about everything other than football.

"I think Sven heard me telling someone I knew nothing at all about football and I was hoping he wouldn't ask me about the offside rule!," laughed the Lyne-sman.

"We had a good natter about life in general. Naturally I got Sven's autograph!"

Photocall

But Colin paid the penalty of having to return to his nine to five job -- he should have immediately jetted off to Sweden for another television photocall but had to decline with this week's Journal deadline looming.

Now he's waiting in the wings while the promotion team seek out an Ulrika lookalike for him...

Meanwhile, television viewers are in for another treat when Sven, alias Colin, appears in a video promoting Ant and Dek's official World Cup song.
