SEASIDERS' stalwarts may recall the name of goalkeeper Lloyd Scott who made two appearances for the club in 1982.
However, Lloyd, 40, from Rainham, Essex, is making more of a name for himself in his bid to complete the world's slowest marathon.
After setting off on Sunday in the London Marathon clad in a 120lb deep-sea diving suit, on Wednesday (April 17) he was still plodding along the route.
Lloyd, who is raising cash for Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood, is expected to reach the finishing line on Friday.
