TWO teenage boys were beaten up in a brutal unprovoked attack in a popular Lancaster park.

The pair, aged 15 and 16, were at Scotch Quarry at around 8.15pm on Friday when two slightly older individuals, one wearing a Liverpool football shirt, called them over.

Without warning, the youths began to punch and kick their victims, forcing them to the floor.

The 16 year old received bruising to his chest, soreness and a temporary loss of hearing to his right ear,

The 15 year old received bruising to the right hand side of his forehead and his right eye as well as two chipped teeth.

The first of the thugs is described as male, 16 to 18 years old, of medium build with black, short hair, 6ft tall and wearing a green Adidas jacket.

The second is also white and 16 to 18 years old and of medium build.

He wore a grey baseball cap, a red Liverpool FC shirt and a grey jacket.

Det Sgt Mark Salisbury said: "We would appreciate any assistance from the public as we try to catch these violent individuals."
