A RAMSBOTTOM woman was held at knifepoint on her doorstep.
The 30-year-old answered a knock at the door of her Hillside Road home in the town at 2.40pm on Thursday (April 18).
She was confronted by a man who pulled out a craft knife and threatened to cut her. He forced her back into the house but she managed to slip by the thug and escape to the street. The knifeman fled and made off in red car with stolen number plates.
The victim was not physically injured but was left in a distressed state.
