ROSEGROVE Infants are currently involved in a "Links with Industry" initiative.

Year One pupils have visited Helmshore Textile Museum in Rossendale this week, while children in Year Two are shortly visiting Burnley Fire Station and reception will be looking round a farm.

Parents are now enrolling for a new course 'A basic introduction to computers' which will be run by a tutor from Edgehill College in the ICT suite.

THE Planning for Real in Rosegrove event was attended by 38 people, who divided into three groups of community safety, facilities and environment.

There has also been a meeting called between the police and highways to discuss the problems concerning the residents at the junction of Gannow Lane and Lowerhouse Lane.

RESIDENTS are keen for police to crack down on a gang of teenage tearaways who are causing misery in Rosegrove and neighbouring Lowerhouse. The latest incident occured when an elderly lady fell and broke her hip after leaving a meeting at Lowerhouse's St Augustine's RC Church to confronting a gang who were throwing stones at the windows. She fell down the steps.

BUNTING has been erected in Rosegrove Lane and Lowerhouse Lane as well as around the shops in Rosegrove Centre in preparation for the Rosegrove Carnival and the Queen's Jubilee.

THE May Day carnival, organised by Rosegrove Action Group, takes place on Sunday, May 5, at 12noon on Sycamore playing fields.

This year's event includes a tug o war, five-a-side football and a performance by Brunshaw Twirlers as well as a fairground and stalls such as cakes, bric-a-brac and tombola.

Cheerleaders and local girl band Depth will also be taking part.
