IT'S all change at Windsor Park as Chorley begin the new Northern Premier League season tomorrow with a home clash.

Following the retirement of long-serving captain Roland Horridge, senior batsman Jim Fazackerley will lead the side and the club also have a new professional in Stephen John, recruited from neighbours Leyland DAF.

The Pakistani all-rounder served DAF with distinction for several years and, ironically, it is against his former club that he makes his Chorley debut at Windsor Park tomorrow.

Missing from the Chorley side - who finished runners-up last season - will be opening bat Neil Bannister who has accepted a professional engagement in the Bolton Association.

Windsor Park also stages a big match on Sunday, when Chorley put their National Knockout Cup hopes on the line against arch-rivals and Northern Premier League champions Netherfield.

Although they could not have been handed a tougher test at this early stage of the competition, Chorley can take heart from two previous victories over Netherfield in the National Knockout in recent years.
