AROUND 30 DJs from all over the UK descended on Lowton Civic Hall for a Northern Soul charity extravaganza.
The day long event was organised by Carole McCarthy of Bolton, who after being involved with similar events around the UK decided to stage one herself, with proceeds donated to Bolton Hospice and Derian House. Soul stomping floor fillers were the theme of the day along with a raffle, barbecue, a children's dancing competition and record stalls.
Youngsters are pictured grooving to some Tamla Motown during the dancing competition.
