CHRISTINE Sanderson wanted to do something extraordinary to celebrate her 60th birthday.
So plucky Christine, of Alexandra Road, Blackburn, decided to abseil down Blackburn College's Feilden Street building, where she works in the science department, all in the name of charity.
Christine, who was presented with two bottles of champagne on her birthday on Saturday, said: "I thought it would be a great idea to raise some money for charity at the same time."
Staff and friends sponsored her for her first abseil, which raised £150 for the Christie Hospital.
