AS the father of two very happy children who attend St John's School, Bury, I must reply to Marisa Dale's letter (May 3).

Ms Dale says that it would be dangerous for mums from St Mark's to travel to St John's with their children, and to push prams at the same time. Well, those concerns work both ways. We already at St John's also take children to school and push prams.

I do agree with Mrs Rosemary Valentine (Your Letters, May 3) that feelings are running high and that one day we are all going to have to work together, especially the children.

Parents at St John's will not sit back and allow our school to be criticised. We have the right to speak up and will do so until the final decision has been made.

Could I add that I do feel sorry for the parents and children at St Mark's.
