STAFF from Asda took part in a sponsored sleep-out to celebrate the store's new 24-hour opening times and to raise cash for the Mayor of Burnley's scanner appeal.
Colleagues Lesley Whitehead, Lesley Davies and Adele Robinson took part in the sleep-out earlier this week and were joined by the mayor, Councillor Gordon Birtwistle.
Coun Birtwistle received a cheque for £270 towards the cancer scanner appeal with a promise of more cash to come from the sleep-out.
Asda store manager Graham Price said: "It's great to help our local community, helping the mayor to reach the target for the scanner, which will be here in Burnley, is what we want to do."
