CLINT Michael Denmark, 28, of Leyburn Road, Blackburn, was remanded on bail until August 15 by Blackburn magistrates after admitting harassing Clare Walker.
The court ordered a pre-sentence report after hearing that Denmark had contacted Miss Walker by telephone and in person over an eight-day period in April.
He also admitted a breach of a condition of bail not to contact Miss Walker.
Kendal Lindley, prosecuting, said there was no suggestion Denmark had threatened violence to Miss Walker.
"The suggestion is that he simply refused to stop contacting her," said Mr Lindley.
Kevin Preston, defending, said Miss Walker was the mother of Denmark's seven-month-old son.
"The motivation for making contact with this lady is purely to see his son."
