GRAHAM Dean took out his frustrations on two police officers after he had been unable to get information on a friend who had been arrested.
But his behaviour ended with him joining his friend in the cells when he was arrested for using threatening behaviour.
Dean, 32, of Cherry Tree Lodge, Islington, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months with £65 costs.
Julie Reilly, prosecuting, said the two officers were leaving the police station to go on patrol when Dean began shouting at them.
He was eventually told he would be arrested if he didn't leave but continued to shout and swear at the officers.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said Dean had been waiting for two and a half hours.
"When the officers came out he allowed his frustrations to get the better of him," said Mr Ditta.
