COME on now, councillors, do you really wish to see a crowd of children hanging around on busy main roads waiting for service buses, sometimes two, to get to school and again on return?
As we get more than our fair share of rain, they are going to be wet through before reaching school.
Our roads are not very safe places and accidents are bound to happen, not to mention muggings.
I could go on, but I think not, our councillors must have got the picture -- but, have they got hearts?
Remember, some of these children may well, one day, be sitting in the seats they now occupy and determining their welfare as old-age pensioners. What goes around, comes around. Why not give them a lesson in fair play?
M SCOTT (Mrs), Haldane Road, Darwen.
