Long time, no speak! As you will understand, things have gone a great deal quieter since the World Cup finished, although bookings and enquiries are still made through my agent.

I have had a three-week break and in many ways, I am almost glad our team did not win. Of course I wanted them to bring home the coveted trophy and

it was sad when they lost against Brazil, but froma purely selfish point of view, it was becoming

increasingly difficult to fit in all the Sven jobs.

I still have contracts to complete but more recently, local venues have been most welcome, fulfilling four engagements during the week following the competition.

I am now awaiting the build up to the European Cup that begins with a qualifying match against Macedonia on the 16th October.

However, at the moment, the next one is not until the 2nd April 2003 when they will play Turkey.

I have a number of projects in mind to continue with Sven. In the meantime I am currently writing

an after-dinner speech and noting down my memoirs of the past 16 months.

Hard to belive that my five minutes of fame has lasted that length of time and is still continuing.

It all started with The Big Breakfast and reached its climax when I met the man himself 13 months later.

People far and wide now call me Sven, on the film sets or in the street. Even our local chief inspector of police told me the other week he calls me Sven because he doesn't know my name!

I again have to thank many people for helping me along and for supporting me and showing interest.

Because the pace has somewhat slowed down, I have decided to write the diary less often and will now do this once a month to keep everyone in touch.

Thank you all for your continued interest and support and to Ulrika well ... what can I say.
