NORTH West Vision, the new media development agency for the north west, has embarked on a series of roadshows with £ 400,000 of lottery money to giveaway to prospective film makers.

It will roll into Lancaster on July 31 at 6pm at the Dukes Theatre.

"We can make a real difference," said Chief Executive, Alice Morrison.

"We have got significant lottery money to invest in innovative new film and media ideas.

"We want to hear from all those new film makers who know they have a fantastic project and need someone to believe in them and help them make it happen."

The Film Council's investment supports the development of high-quality film and moving image media activity in the North West region and aims to create bold and imaginative new initiatives, which increase activity, jobs, regional profile and will widen public access to film and media culture.
