MUSICAL maestro, Graham Holli was born in Leigh and proud enough to sing about it.
The up and coming singer releases his debut album, Today, is the Day, this week, and on it is a track which leaves listeners in no doubt where the northern musician hails from -- Born In Leigh - is a humorous comment on Leigh and the surrounding areas, taking a light-hearted look at the town he grew up in.
Returned north
Graham, aged 30, was born in Firs Maternity Home and lived in Hindles Close in Atherton for 20 years, before leaving to study mechanical engineering at the University of Bath. He has since returned to the north, living in Cinnamon Brow in Warrington.
Having been involved in music, both playing instruments and singing, for over 10 years, Graham has had his style described as somewhere between Human League, Depech Mode and Bryan Ferry.
Graham is looking forward to promoting his album on local radio, as well as performing live gigs around the borough.
Today, is the Day is being released on Cottage Records Ltd, Graham's own label, through Holier Than Thou Records distribution and will be available by telesales, on 01789 2688661, or over the internet at www.holierthanthou.com initially.
