A WEBSITE comparing the council's performance with other local authorities across the country has gone online.
The website measures the effectiveness of councils using 97 criteria, known as 'Best Value Performance Indicators' and 'Audit Commission Performance Indicators'.
These include information such as the amount of council tax collected and the proportion of municipal waste recycled.
The aim of the scheme is to recognize the success of the most effective councils and to strengthen the link between councils and their constituents.
