A GROUP of girls from Blackburn who made a desperate plea for some male company have finally found their own set of dream boys.

The Wild Angels dance troupe made an appeal for men with rhythm and a willingness to join them on stage at functions organised by UK Entertainments.

The girls said all the tasty chaps they came across were too shy to take part in the routines where they can be seen sporting anything from cowboy costumes to American cop outfits. But now six male dancers, including a former Chippendale, have flexed into action to make up an equivalent dance troupe to be known as Male Order.

"They have got everything it takes to make a real go of it and bookings are flooding in now that we can aim the act at a joint male female audience," said organiser Kat Hartley.

Former British Chippendale Simon Beckford, 30, said he can't wait to join the girls on stage in his favourite leather and silver outfit, but is no stranger to screaming audiences.

"One of the best gigs I have ever done was in Russia, but I just love being on stage. The buzz is brilliant. I am sure most men have a fantasy of being on stage with loads of girls at their feet."

Dancer Armani Bek, 25, is a former Moscow circus performer and intends to whip the the women into a frenzy with his back flips and bulging biceps.

Glenn Standish, 27, from Wigan said: "It is actually going to be very hard to do a joint act because the crowd management is very difficult. Girls can be very cruel and are so heartless if you try to act too cool."

But dancer Roxeanne Gregory, a former St Mary's College pupil, said it was 'great' to have some good looking men to work with"

The two groups will be on tour across the North West from August 15, when they launch their act at Tokyo Joes in Preston. For more information call 01254 55777.
