HISTORIANS believe that Eric Andrews set a new Leigh Centurions scoring record last weekend.
Andrews, a first team regular at the start of the season, crossed for an astonishing EIGHT tries as the Centurions' Under 19's Academy side thumped third placed Doncaster 84-10.
The previous record at all levels was set last season by scrum-half Kieron Purtill who bagged seven in a reserve team game at Workington.
The first team record - six - is jointly held by Neil Turley and Jack Wood.
