HIGH school pupils quizzed Education Minister Estelle Morris yesterday.
Westleigh and Hindley's sharpest young politicians were given the chance to quiz senior ministers at a fringe meeting at the Labour Party Conference in Blackpool.
They were two of only three schools invited to take part in the meeting organised by the charity Save The Children and asked questions on health and Third World development issues.
Westleigh was represented by the school council -- which has already put Leigh MP Andy Burnham in the hot seat.
The school was selected because it has raised thousands of pounds for the charity over the past few years.
Headteacher, John Pout, said: "The school council is superb, representing the pupils at school very well.
"Within school it organises discos, trips and visits and with the proceeds has bought tables and benches. More recently, it has redesigned the students' planner, rewritten the student code of conduct and is now leading an anti-bullying drive."
