JUST a little note hoping you will be able to help us out.

We live in Stanhill Village so we have quite a bit of bird life, but last week when we were making breakfast my husband looked out of the kitchen window and motioned to me to look out.

There was the most beautiful sight. It sat on the wall for three or four seconds then it was gone; also all the other birds too.

We got out our bird book and the peregine was identical, plus the fact that nothing was moving for about another hour. Hoping you can help us.

Ron's reply:

SOME people call the peregrine a "mobile slaughter house." All small birds give them a wide berth.

From near extinction 30 years ago this species has made a fantastic recovery.
