A SINGER of Christian songs is staging a concert at Darwen Library Theatre.
Kate Simmonds and her band of musicians accepted the request of Blackburn Community Church to appear on October 13 from 7.30pm.
Kate is a worship leader, vocalist and songwriter based at Church of Christ the King, Brighton.
Her writing and singing talents led her to record to solo albums of music for congregational worship, which were well received by the music press.
A spokesman for Blackburn Community Church said: "Kate brings these high standards and reputation for excellence to her concerts, with a live band of outstanding musicians and singers.
"The sound has some soul and gospel flavours and will appeal to a wide age range."
