A PUB chef hopes to sizzle his way to the top in the final round of a prestigious national competition.

Terry Walker, 29, of the Malthouse Farm Pub in Whittle-Le Woods has won a place in the finals of the Chef & Brewer National Chef of the Year competition. Former pub chef, Tony Tobin of BBC's Ready Steady Cook will be on the judges' panel.

"I'm extremely excited" said Terry, "Having cooked at the regional heats and then at the semi final I'm well aware of what I'm up against."
