REGARDING the Blackburn revamp scheme (LET, September 11) may I suggest that any money available should be spent on cycle lanes and other environmental projects?
We need more trees, clean pavements and help and encouragement for owners and tenants to take a pride in their gardens.
We do not need any more artistic contributions like the potential ankle-twisting, push chair-wrecking, limb-dislocating new paving in Church Street.
I recently saw one of the workmen trip and almost fall while trying to cross Church Street.
