ST CATHERINE'S Hospice has launched its annual lottery with a couple of special guests.
Preston North End's manager Craig Brown and goalkeeper Tepi Moilanen joined hospice bosses at the charity's kiosk in St George's Shopping Centre, Preston, on Monday(October 1).
The lottery, the hospice's biggest source of cash, helps raise the £3.42 needed every minute of the day to keep the Lostock Lane organisation open. The lottery gives away £4,000 in prize money every week, raising £500,000 every year for the hospice.
John Nickson, of St Catherine's, said: "We're delighted we can now sell tickets in the St George's Centre. It means that people can come in, buy one of the single tickets and stand a chance of winning one of the 206 cash prizes given out each week including a £2,000 top prize.
"Every penny raised goes towards the cost of providing much needed hospice care for local people."
The ticket kiosk will be open Monday- Saturday, 10am-4pm, on the ground floor near the Friargate entrance to the shopping centre.
