A WORLD record drawing attempt is to be staged at Helmshore Textile Museums.

On Saturday, October 19 the museum in Holcombe Road, Helmshore, will be taking part in the world attempt to have the largest ever number of people drawing at one time.

This is part of a national event, organised by the Campaign for Drawing, and it is their logo, in the form of a simple dot-to-dot puzzle, that participants in the event will be recreating.

The museum staff are hoping that as many people as possible, adults and children alike, will take part in the attempt, which starts at 12 noon and lasts for just one minute.

If the attempt is successful, the achievement will appear in the Guinness Book of Records.

The museum will open at 11.45am on the day in time to distribute the pencils and puzzles and all participants in the record attempt will be given free admission to the building for the day.
