A FAMILY of seven had to be evacuated from their Abbey Lane home in Westleigh after a bedroom fire on Sunday night.
The fire started at 7pm in a bedroom shared by two 14-year-old girls and is thought to have been caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette.
Bunk beds, curtains and furniture were destroyed and the upstairs of the house was smoke-logged. No-one was injured.
