ON Saturday near the Winter Gardens I counted 31 policemen -- eight standing together, two women police officers, two policemen on motor-cycles, four police cars -- with two policemen in each and a police helicopter flying overhead.
Yet, on a normal Saturday morning, same time, same place, you would be very, very lucky to see one policeman patrolling the streets.
This political party job must be a very powerful thing!
