A PENSIONER was taken to Burnley General Hospital with leg injuries after a car smash in Colne Road.
The accident happened close to the junction with Disraeli Street on Saturday.
Jean Robinson, 72, of Frances Street, Burnley, was taken to Burnley General Hospital, but left later.
The driver of a Vauxhall Astra involved in the accident, Richard Templeton, 59, of Piccadilly Road, Burnley, was uninjured.
The accident was reported at 10.25 am.
AN elderly motorcycle rider was taken to hospital after an accident on the Padiham by-pass.
A Honda 250cc motorbike ridden by Kenneth Heaton, 77, of Castle Clough Cottages, Hapton, was in an accident with a Vauxhall Corsa.
Mr Heaton was taken to hospital with minor injuries and left later.
The car driver, Stephen Hargreaves of Slade Lane, Padiham, was uninjured.
