DARWEN residents will have their say on proposals to build 20 new homes on Weavers Row, off Tockholes Road, in the coming weeks.
A planning application was made public by Blackburn with Darwen Council on Thursday and a decision on whether to build the homes will be made by February.
The proposed houses will be a mixture of detached and semi-detached accommodation with three and four bedrooms.
Gavin Prescott, planner development control at the council, said: "There is a site visit this week and this application will need to go to committee because it used to be home to an industrial mill.
"We will consult with environmental health to check on the state of the land and we will also be talking to members of the public about their views."
The application will go to planning committee on January 23 or February 20.
