FOLK in Lancashire have been asked to recycle their festive food jars this Christmas as part of a national campaign.
The campaign by Glasspac was launched by celebrity chef Kevin Woodford of TVs 'Ready, Steady Cook' fame.
Glasspac, the promotions arm of the trade association British Glass, said that the country will consume 5.5million jars of mincemeat and 12 million jars of cranberry sauce.
Kevin said: "The great thing about glass is that it can be used again and again to make more bottles and jars, so after the celebrations don't bin your glass, bank it at your local bottle bank."
