EAST Lancashire MPs enjoyed free tickets to international football matches and hospitality at the Brit Awards, according to the latest Register of Interests.

Foreign Secretary and Blackburn MP Jack Straw and student son Will, 21, enjoyed the England Italy soccer international in Leeds and it was not the first time the family benefited from the generosity of the Football Association. In previous years, they have received free tickets to high-profile games in recognition of the fact that Mr Straw -- a dedicated Rovers fan and season ticket holder at Ewood Park -- is one of the Cabinet's best known soccer supporters.

In addition, the MP declares two 'space available' upgrades to Club Class for wife Alice and daughter Charlotte from British Airways while holidaying in Africa.

But Mr Straw's normal declaration of rent income from offices in Blackburn has vanished from this year's register because new rules mean the income from renting out the ground floor of his constituency HQ falls below the new £5,500 threshhold for registration. The biggest declaration comes from Ribble Valley Tory MP Nigel Evans, which includes the ownership of the family newsagents in Swansea, being a political consultant to a business news service, and free membership of the gym at County Hall, London. The membership is courtesy of Whitebread's, who also own the Samlesbury brewery in his constituency.

The Shadow Welsh Secretary also declared trips to Toulouse, Gibraltar, Kuwait and Bahrain and receipt of a watch from the Kuwait Information Service which he gave to the Royal British Legion.

Rossendale and Darwen MP Janet Anderson declared two tickets for the Brit Awards in February, partly in recognition of her previous job as Pop Music and Broadcasting Minister and partly because she is vice-chairman of the Commons All-Party Music Group.

Clarets fan and Burnley MP Peter Pike registered a Turf Moor season ticket and hospitality courtesy of Burnley Football Club as well as Parliamentary trips to Pakistan and Botswana.

Pendle MP Gordon Prentice and Hyndburn MP Greg Pope have no outside interests and gifts to declare.

Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle declares a trip to Gibraltar on a Parliamentary delegation compared to two the previous year and his business interests in a commercial property in Adlington and a shareholding in a screen printing firm.
