PRIVATE tuition for primary school children has taken a cyber leap and is now available on-line thanks to a new service.
The Virtual Classroom allows real-time, live tutoring, thanks to instant messaging and teaching which is only a mouse click away.
The on-line service costs from £6 per lesson and each child is assigned to a classroom. Lessons are available throughout the week including evenings - allowing for a child's own timetable to be formulated.
The cyber space class also features a hands up facility to catch the teacher's attention.
The child's classroom is dependant on the education year group of the child. Each classroom contains a maximum of 4 children and is run by a qualified teacher and a support assistant.
Co-owner Andrew Kenyon said: "The response has been fantastic and we have been swamped with calls. In the private and comfort of a child's own home we can provide lessons in numeracy, literacy and science."
Primarylive is for Key stage 2 children aged seven to 11 years and is suitable for SATs revision. The service is also geared towards children being educated at home.
