A LARGE new industrial unit will be built in Rawtenstall.
The 300 square metre unit will be built at Hill End Lane, off Bacup Road, in Clough Fold.
However, it is unlikely that new jobs will be created for the area.
When completed, the new building will be used for the storage of plant, machinery and building supplies.
Before the new unit is occupied, an access track between the yard entrance and Hill End Lane will be resurfaced with a permanently-sealed coating.
A row of trees on the south west boundary of the site will also be retained.
Any trees damaged during the building of the warehouse will be replaced in the new planting season with similar species.
An environmental assessment of the new warehouse and the surrounding area will also be carried before building works starts.
A car parking area for the development will also be built at the site.
