BLACKBURN Rovers hope to complete the signing of Parma defender Vratislav Gresko later today.

The Slovakian international flew into England last night to open talks about a loan move which would bring him to Ewood until the end of the season.

And subject to him passing a medical this morning, Rovers plan to wrap up a deal later this afternoon.

"Vratislav flew in last night and we are hoping to talk to him today so hopefully it should all be done and dusted by tonight," said chief executive John Williams.

Rovers have already secured a work permit for the player who qualified for it automatically.

But he may have to wait to make his debut because the club may not be able to get international clearance off the Italian FA in time for Sunday's trip to Aston Villa.
