A NEW American Football Club is being formed for North Lancashire and South Lakeland.
It will aim to encourage the development of the 'gridiron' game in the region with games at both youth and senior levels.
American Football is enjoying a renaissance in the UK after several years, with more than 100 teams playing competitively.
A meeting is to be held in February to gauge the support for American Football in the area with the intention of registering a youth team for action during the summer.
