LANCASTER Royal Grammar School's rugby boys saw their cup run come to an end on Wednesday - at the hands of a superb Oakham School side.
Oakham, last year's cup winners, ran the match for the first half with good work from the pack and excellent running across the backs, denying LRGS possession of the ball.
Trailing 27 - 0 at the break, Lancaster came out hoping to play some attacking rugby and put points on the board.
The half was far better balanced as both sides played classy rugby without adding to the score.
After an injury to Tom Whitty, Gareth Hiron showed great flair at fly half and, defensively, Sandy Gibson deserves a mention.
