STAFF, pupils and parents at an Atherton special school are celebrating after receiving a first class Ofsted report.
Green Hall Primary School, in Green Hall Close, caters for 72 pupils, aged between four and 11, with moderate learning difficulties and has already won a School's Curriculum Award and the Investors in People standard.
In their report inspectors recognised the school's success since opening in 2000: "It has done very well in a short time to ensure that all pupils achieve very well in the priority areas of communication and social development and make consistently good and often very good progress across most subjects."
Headteacher Tony Triska said: "The governors, staff and myself are delighted with the report. It is very gratifying to know that we are providing a first class education for our children."
