LEIGH speed sky diver Mark Calland is the fastest man in Britain without engine power.

This summer he's planning to step up to become the WORLD'S speediest human by beating the French record holder's 332mph.

Mark, a self-confessed buzz junky, believes the secret of chasing his dream could be in the clothing.

BBC viewers on Monday saw him testing suits in a wind tunnel with the aid of a Manchester Uni professor, and as a result he is now redesigning his suit.

After a series of championship races in Europe he should know by late summer if he has achieved his dream.

It's hard to believe that freefalling 1k out of a plane at over 330mph can be fun. It's bad enough being strapped securely inside one!
