DON'T worry, kids. Park rangers are OK really!
Young nature lovers in East Bury came out to meet the first local parkie for decades. Jim Wynn was there to meet them at a countryside fun day held on Saturday (Jan 25) at St Thomas's Primary School in Pimhole.
He patrols Openshaw Park in Bury, and he could be the first of many more rangers in the borough.
A range of activities was laid on for the children including a drawing competition, face-painting, and a make-your-own bird feeder session. The event was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Councillors John and Stella Smith.
