A CHARITABLE trekker is auctioning off two much sought after front row balcony tickets to see Peter Kay at Blackpool in a bid to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Colin Benton, 42, is sacrificing his chance to watch the tubby Bolton comic in action to the highest bidder in an effort to earn £2,000 sponsorship for the charity trek up Mount Toubka in Morocco.

So far Colin has managed to raise £1,100 for the four-day adventure which will see him clambering more than 15,000 feet up the North African mountain in September.

Tickets for previous events in the resort have proved to be very popular, some changing hands for prices well above their usual cost. And Colin hopes fans will dig deep for the event - which is on March 20 at the Winter Gardens - and help to come up with the remaining £900 he needs to snag a place on the trek.

Colin said: "I'd love to go and see him myself but I really want to take part in the hike and raise money for such a worthy cause."

Potential bidders should contact Colin on 0775 3740803.
