IT was September '76 when the Sex Pistols played the Lodestar in Blackburn -- the only gig they ever played in Lancashire.

Hence it was a unique return to the town for Glen to make his solo acoustic debut.

Glen delivered something old with God Save The Queen and Ghosts of Princes In Towers, something new in Who's Side Are You On? something borrowed with I'm Not Your Stepping Stone and something blue, Sad Meal For One.

One question from the audience led him to recount the initial meeting between Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, who went on to form The Clash.

Fittingly, Glen paid tribute to the recently-deceased Strummer with a storming rendition of I Fought The Law. Afterwards he spent an hour chatting and signing books, CDs and posters while posing for photos.

Glen joined final band Pike on vocals for an impromptu rendition of Pretty Vacant before being handed a bass guitar for Anarchy in the UK and Holidays In The Sun.

A truly one-off performance from one of rock 'n' roll's few originals.
