BACUP may make changes to their side for the visit of Cheadle in the Second Division Trophy quarter finals tomorrow.

Manager Brent Peters, whose side are top of the secomd division, says he must prioritise the league.

"There is a semi-final place at stake tomorrow and it will be a tough game," he said. "We scored five against them down there but they are a battling side and they won't lie down.

"And even though I want to win every game we play I also have to have one eye on the important league games against Nelson at home and Stone Dominoes away next week.

"I cannot run the risk of injuries. So there will be changes to the team."

Peters is confident, though, that whatever team he picks it will be capable of victory.

"We have not got a bad player in our squad. If David Gray is on the sidelines for example, or Stuart Telfer who has been firing on all cylinders, whoever comes in will do equally well.

"Lee Kershaw has been chomping at the bit and he is the one who has had to drop out in midfield. In Steve Stott and Lee Anderson we have the best midfielders not just at second division level but first as well. Lee is unfortunate because he doesn't have the experience.

"So he may start the game tomorrow."
