SO, Eileen Slingsby (Your Letters, Jan 17) feels it necessary to respond to recent correspondence relating to Bury MBC's Comprehensive Performance Assessment report and, indeed, she makes her position very clear.
As a single-issue campaigner she has previously declared herself to be non-political. Well, at least we know now what we have suspected all along!
Along with other recent correspondents she displays a remarkable ignorance of the facts and of how local government finance operates. But then Ms Slingsby, along with her political allies, never allows facts to get in the way.
