A BUM DEAL? Regulars at a North Yorkshire pub don't think so after swapping their regular pub sign for a picture of the reigning Miss Blackpool's bare derriere!

Beauty queen Tanya Robinson, 21, was the toast of her home-town Richmond after winning Miss Blackpool and then FHM magazine's High Street Honeys competition in December.

So regulars and bosses at The Fleece thought Tanya deserved a cheeky tribute -- and renamed the pub The Tanya's Charms -- complete with a saucy new sign illustrating said charms.

"I was very surprised to see my bottom on display in Richmond," Tanya told local reporters after the sign was unveiled on Saturday.

"If someone had told me that The Fleece would have a picture of me on its sign, I wouldn't have believed it...but I am delighted and flattered."

Pub manager John Walmsley told The Citizen the pub wanted to show how proud locals were of Tanya's achievements.

"Staff and customers banded a couple of suggestions for names around, like The Tanya's Legs, and The Tanya's Arms... but there were some I can't repeat," he joked.

But it's the pub's new sign, based on a slinky rear-view photo of Tanya taken for FHM, that is making some residents hot under the collar.

"Reactions have been mixed... mainly positive from all our customers but some of the locals, many older people are voicing concerns about its suitability," John admitted.

There are no plans to take the sign down at the moment, though things might change if the outcry reaches fever pitch he said.

And co-manager Sam Collett told the press: "Our customers think it is a really good idea.

"Tanya is now part of the history of the town."
